We Interrupt This Pulpish Fun...

I have a story in a new anthology, Legends of the Mountain State, ghost tales set in West Virginia.

There's an impressive line-up of writers in this one, and if you'd like to order or read more, click here.

Kirby Does Football

I found this Jack Kirby Superquarterback drawing on a cool blog called Aparofan's World of Comics.

This is the final entry in Pocket Book's misguided relaunch of The Spider as a men's series to compete with The Executioner and The Destroyer. The novels were edited -- sometimes badly -- to give them a contemporary setting. And the "The" was dropped from the character's moniker.

Still, it remains the least expensive way to hold a copy of the 100th Spider novel, "Death and the The Spider", in your hands.

Hard Case Crime

I usually post updates about my podcast on my other blog, but this might interest visitors here. On the new Pod of Horror, I interview editor Charles Ardai about the Hard Case Crime line. If you're a fan of these books, you have to hear Ardai talk about them.

You can download Pod of Horror #39 on I-tunes or here.
